» Union Services

The Student Union provides services that help increase productivity and enhance the overall student experience outside of the classroom.

Card Reader

The card reader at the Student Union Information Desk is accessible to all Chapman community members for re-encoding their University ID card.

Community Supported Agriculture

Tanaka Farms’ Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program connects our campus to local farmers and food systems.  Every other week, boxes of local produce are delivered to the Student Union Information Desk for those who subscribe to the service.  Contents of CSA boxes vary from week to week.  Questions about the CSA program should be directed to csa@tanakafarms.com.

Hashinger Lockers

Lockers located on the first floor of the Hashinger Science Center are available to be reserved for student use on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the Student Union Information Desk or email studentunion@chapman.edu to learn more about current locker availability.

Laptops-To-Go

Laptops-To-Go is a free laptop borrowing service available at the Argyros Forum Student Union, Leatherby Libraries, and Rinker Health Sciences Campus.  The service is made available through a contract between Chapman’s IS&T department and LaptopsAnytime.  Students are able to borrow a laptop for one 8-hour timeframe.  Both Dell and Mac laptops are available.

Mail

Two different mail services are available in the Argyros Forum Student Union

  • An Amazon Locker (named Argyros) is accessible to all Chapman and surrounding community members who designate it as their delivery location.  The Amazon Locker will hold mail for three business days, after which point the package will be returned to Amazon for a refund.  The Locker is only available during building operating hours.
  • A USPS mailbox is located next to the Amazon Locker in the Union Tech area.

Portable Charging Stations

Portable charging stations are available in the Great Room and Stage area.  Each station offers 3 Type-C cables, 2 Micro-USB cables, and 3 Apple Lightning cables.

Poster Supplies

Poster paper is available in the AF 119 hallway and, if needed, markers are available at the Student Union Information Desk.  To borrow a marker kit, students must leave their ID card with Student Union staff until the kit is returned.

Space Reservations

Reservable spaces in the Student Union include AF 119A, AF 119B, Tabling #1 and Tabling #2 (space between Einstein's and the Student Union Information Desk), the Student Union Stage, and the Great Room.  All spaces are prioritized for Student Affairs and student organization use. Student organization leaders can request space via the Student Organization Event Submission Form; academic/administrative departments should email studentunion@chapman.edu to inquire about availability.
