The 2024-2025 FAFSA is now available to complete online. Please note the following:

You may experience a delay in being able to access the FAFSA website. You may be placed in a virtual waiting room prior to being able to access the website.
The process for completing the FAFSA is new. We encourage students to take a few moments to watch the four videos prepared by the Department of Education prior to completing their FAFSA. The videos are available once you login to your FAFSA.
There are several known issues that are preventing students and contributors from completing their sections of the FAFSA. These are actively being worked on by the Department of Education and students will be notified directly by the Department of Education when they as they are resolved.
Contributors who do not have a Social Security Number may still be experiencing delays in applying for their own FSA ID.

Chapman University will not receive the information you submit on your FAFSA until sometime in mid-April. In addition, we will not have access to check the status of your FAFSA until that time.

Although there have been significant issues with the Department of Education's roll out of the 2024-2025 FAFSA, currently enrolled students at Chapman are not expected to experience any delays in receiving their financial aid offers for 2024-2025 provided they have completed their FAFSA prior to the last day of classes of the Spring 2024 term.

Financial aid offer letters for 2024-2025 returning students are typically sent in June and July after final grades from the Spring term are posted.

In order to account for any issues in completing the FAFSA, we strongly encourage currently enrolled students to begin completing their FAFSA as soon as possible.

The 2024-2025 FAFSA can be completed online and is currently open and available.
