PROFESSOR STEVEN KRONE (WELCOME SPEAKER)

Steven Krone is Visiting Associate Professor of Law at Chapman University School of Law and a former law clerk to Chief Judge Abner J. Midya of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and to Justices William J. Brennan, Jr. and David H. Souter of the Supreme Court of the United States. He is the former President of Village Roadshow Pictures Entertainment, the producers The Matrix Trilogy, Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve, Analyze This, Three Kings, Training Day, Space Cowboys, Zoolander, Mystic River, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

DEAN ERWIN CHEMERINSKY 

Erwin Chemerinsky is the Alston & Bird Professor of Law and Professor of Political Science at Duke Law School and a former trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice. He is the author of several legal textbooks on Constitutional Law. He has been named founding Dean of the University of California, Irvine Donald Bren School of Law.

F. JAY DOUGHERTY

F. Jay Dougherty is a Professor of Law at Loyola Law School. Formerly, he has held positions at United Artists Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Turner Broadcasting Systems, and Twentieth Century Fox, and has published a number of articles on the subject of Entertainment Law.

DEAN JOHN EASTMAN 

Dr. John C. Eastman is Dean and Donald P. Kennedy Chair in Law at Chapman University School of Law and former law clerk with Justice Clarence Thomas at the Supreme Court of the United States and with the Honorable J. Michael Luttig at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
 
PROFESSOR RAYMOND KU 
Raymond Ku is a Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and Associate Director of Case's Center for Law, Technology and the Arts. Professor Ku clerked for the Honorable Timothy K. Lewis, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

ASSOCIATE DEAN CELESTINE RICHARDS MCCONVILLE (MODERATOR)

Celestine Richards McConville is the Associate Dean of Administration and Henry Salvatori Professor of Law and Community Service at Chapman University School of Law. Dean McConville served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist at the Supreme Court of the United States. She researches and writes in the area of constitutional law and the death penalty.

ERIC J. FARBER

Eric Farber is the Managing Shareholder of Farber & Company Attorneys, P.C. where he specializes in legal issues for athletes, entertainers and related business. His clients include the Estate of Tupac Shakur, Makaveli Branded Clothing, LiveVideo.com, and numerous top NFL players. He was formerly with the TV Department of United Talent Agency and the co-director of Development of Sony Based Signature Films.

DEAN JON GARON 

Jon Garon is Dean and a Professor of Law at Hamline University School of Law. He is a nationally recognized authority on intellectual property, particularly copyright law and entertainment and media law.

PROFESSOR KEVIN GREENE

Kevin Greene is an Associate Professor of Law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and former law clerk for the Honorable James H. Brickley of the Michigan Supreme Court.

PROFESSOR JOHN TEHRANIAN

John Tehr is a Professor of Law at the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law; Visiting Professor of Law at Loyola Law School, and an entertainment/intellectual property litigator serving as Of Counsel at Turner Green Afrasiabi & Arledge LLP.

PROFESSOR KATHY Z. HELLER (MODERATOR) 

Kathy Heller is the Director of the Media and Public Interest Institute at Chapman University's Lawrence and Kristina Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Chapman University School of Law. She has served as assistant counsel to the U.S. House of representatives Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, counsel to the full Senate Judiciary Committee and the subcommittees with jurisdiction over immigration, criminal justice, security and terrorism, and intellectual property, and Vice President and Special Counsel for Congressional Relations at the Motion Picture Association of America.

MARK HUMENIK

Mark Humenik is General Counsel at Athletes First where he negotiates endorsement and playing contracts for professional athletes, and plays a significant role in the representation of former UCLA basketball coach John R. Wooden.

PROFESSOR MATTHEW MITTEN

Matthew Mitten is a Professor of Law and Director of the National Sports Law Institute at Marquette University Law School and the author of a textbook on Sports Law.

DEAN GARY ROBERTS 

Professor Gary R. Roberts is Dean and a Professor of Law at Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis and former clerk for the Honorable Ben C. Duniway on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

PROFESSOR MAUREEN WESTON 

Maureen Weston is an Associate Professor of Law at Pepperdine University School of Law and the author of legal textbooks on Arbitration and Sports Law.
