» Dining

Dining at Chapman is about more than just the food. We’re committed to environmental responsibility, sustainability and food security for all. Here’s what you can expect when you’re a Chapman student and looking for a good meal or quick snack.

On-Campus Dining

From breakfasts to midnight snacks (we serve until 1 a.m. every day), plus plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, there’s something for everyone on campus. And before you ask: yes, we have a Starbucks.

Check out all our healthy options (plus nutrition info and sustainability resources) on our Student Dining page.

Meal Plans

Whether you live on campus or commute, you can purchase a meal plan at Chapman. With a meal plan, you get a set amount of meals at Randall Dining Commons (our on-campus dining hall) plus Panther Bucks (a.k.a. Chapman credit) to use at other dining locations on campus. To see how it all works, check our Meal Plans page.

Take a Tour

Our tour guide Adrienne also shows off some of the popular on-campus dining spots in this TikTok:

Off-Campus Dining

Chapman is located just two blocks from Old Towne Orange, a historic district home to dozens of dining options.

With options like craft coffee, cold-pressed juices, build-your-own pizzas, waffle sandwiches, gourmet cupcakes, sushi, Mexican, Italian and more, local foodies call this one of the best places to eat in Southern California. And most of the restaurants there offer discounts to Chapman students!

Here are some of our students’ top picks:

The Filling Station
“The Filling Station gives such an authentic view into the city of Orange and its natural hospitality and warmth, while also serving my favorite waffles all day!” —Maria Harfouche, English Literature and Sociology Double Major
Rutabegorz
“Rutabegorz is a great health-conscious dining option, and they provide generous portions (I swear the salads come in huge mixing bowls)!” —Melissa Cho, News & Documentary Major
Contra Coffee and Tea
“Contra Coffee and Tea. Nothing can beat the chill environment, and having a coffee bomb before an exam is a great way to get stoked and ready for the day.” —Caitlin Molina, Biology and Spanish Double Major

Food Pantry

Food insecurity often goes unnoticed at college, but that doesn’t make it any less of a problem. That’s why we have a food pantry on campus to help any and all of our students who don’t have regular access to food.

If you’re suffering from food insecurity, we’re here for you with meals and microwaves on campus.
