Activating Your Chapman Account

» Activating Your Chapman Account

All admitted undergraduate and graduate applicants receive a Chapman account. This account includes a Chapman:

  • Student ID
  • Chapman email address
  • Username
  • Password

The above information will allow you to log into relevant Chapman systems, such as your email account and Student Center.

Soon after you're admitted to Chapman, you will receive an email from the IS&T department with the above information including a temporary password.

  • Upon receiving this email, you can activate your account here and use the above information to reset your password to something you'll remember.
  • To maintain the security and privacy of your student and academic records, keep your password confidential.
  • You will be prompted to complete 2-factor enrollment (see below for additional information).
  • If you don't receive this email within 2 weeks of your admission, contact the Office of Admission at admit@chapman.edu or (714) 997-6711.
  • If you are experiencing technical issues, you may email our Service Desk at servicedesk@chapman.edu, or contact them over the phone
    at (714) 997-6600.
  • For future password help, visit our self-help portal at password.chapman.edu or call the IS&T Service Desk at (714) 997-6600.

It is important that you do not lose this information and never share it with anyone other than Chapman University staff or faculty.

What your Chapman account gives you access to

Activating your Chapman account will allow you to access the following:

Student Center Portal

  • Your Student Center is where you access your student account, course registration, and billing.
  • You will be able to access your Student Center from the University homepage or by using this link: studentcenter.chapman.edu

Note that your Student Center is different than your Application Status Page (where you have been tracking your application to Chapman). You can learn more about the differences between these two systems on the Introduction to the Application Status and Student Center page.

  • Chapman University has wired and wireless networking capabilities in most areas on campus.
  • Eduroam allows all students, staff, faculty, and campus guests to move around campus while maintaining a fast, reliable, and secure wireless internet connection. To use the WiFi network, log in with your university's email address and password.

Additional Information

Your Chapman account is also important to have access to:

Your Student Email Account

  • Communication regarding housing, academic advising, course registration, billing, and other important information will be sent to your Chapman University PantherMail email account.
  • You can have your Chapman mail forwarded to another account that you regularly use. Instructions on how to do so can be found in these FAQs.

Student Account Monthly Statements

  • Month-end student account statements are only available online (until you update your preferences).
  • After the first of each month, an email will be sent to your Chapman email account notifying you that your monthly statement is ready to view through Chapman eBill.
  • You can also register a third party to receive the monthly statement online, or you can update your preferences to receive a paper statement in the mail.
  • Student account payments are made online through Chapman ePay.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

  • 2FA is an extra layer of defense against cyber criminals that requires users to provide additional ID verification when attempting to access Chapman systems (such as Canvas, Zoom, Office 365, and others) from off campus.
  • To enroll in 2FA or manage your 2-Factor authentication settings, visit this 2FA Self-Enrollment link.
  • For more information about 2FA at Chapman, visit Chapman.edu/2fa or contact our 2FA support team at 2fa@chapman.edu for assistance.
