Chapman's Food Digester
The Power Knot food digester is a recent addition to Chapman University's Randall Dining Commons. Leftover food waste is transferred into the digester and broken down into grey water, diverting countless amounts of food waste from the landfill. Chapman's Waste Management Partners
Chapman's main campus is located in Orange, but our operations span to Anaheim, where Chapman Grand is located, and Irvine, where our Rinker campus is located. As a result, Chapman's waste is collected by four separate waste services providers: CR&R, Republic, Ware, and Waste Management. Instructions: Waste items will appear above the trash, compost, and recycling bins. If a waste item is displayed above the bin that it would be correctly sorted into, click on the waste item to earn points towards your total score. If a waste item is displayed above a bin that it should not be placed in, do not click on the item. Points will be deducted from your total score if a waste item is clicked on when displayed over a bin it should not be sorted into.
