STUDENTS
- Student Project Support. This application provides students with mentorship support and a grant for reimbursable expenses to develop Italy-focused scholarly, creative, or entrepreneurial projects. These projects can be undertaken during the regular semester or within the context of study abroad or a travel course. Mentorship is usually provided by Institute staff and faculty Fellows. Reimbursable expenses include transportation (mileage, gas, flights), books, subscriptions, and lodging. The following are not reimbursable: rent, food, utilities, cell phone, electronic equipment, professional clothing etc. For questions regarding reimbursable expenses, please contact Sarah Gordon, Director of Operations, sargordon@chapman.edu. - Student Travel Grant. For travel grants of up to $500 for undergraduate and graduate students from all areas of campus. This grant will cover reimbursable expenses such as travel, lodging, food, and registration for the conference. These grants are available to students attending conferences or professional gatherings to present Italy-focused research/creative works. For the application, click here. - Travel Class Participation Support. Students pursuing an Italian Studies degree receive automatic scholarships to support their participation in Chapman travel courses to Italy. Qualifying students applying to applicable travel courses must inform Ferrucci Institute at the time of enrollment to ensure timely award processing. These scholarships are made possible by the Marybelle and Sebastian P. Musco Endowment for Travel Courses in Italian Studies.
