In August 2006, Chapman University opened the 76,000-square-foot Marion Knott Studios - catapulting Dodge College of Film and Media Arts to its place among the top film schools in the country.
As we look to the future, the strategic focus for positioning Dodge College as a film school that is nationally and internationally renowned for excellence will emphasize the digital media that have been identified as areas of current and projected growth in the booming creative economy, particularly in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Chapman Studios will firmly establish Dodge College as a leader in these areas by meeting the demands of the way the next generation lives and learns. It will also support Chapman's vision to attract absolutely the very best students from across the nation and around the world; to prepare these students with hands-on, collaborative education in the most advanced technologies; to produce graduates that share a global literacy and who are effective communicators using the storytelling methods and technologies that resonate with audiences around the world; and to develop unprecedented opportunities for our graduates in the burgeoning creative economy.
Many of the incredible and unique opportunities our students enjoy are made possible by the generous support of our community of friends and donors like you.
