The College of Performing Arts community is made up of arts educators from dance, music and theatre with one thing in common; a deep passion for the performing arts in all its forms. We are united in our mission to create an environment that cultivates scholarship, creativity, free expression and intellectual curiosity in the performing arts.
Our three-pillared approach to arts education is reflected in our emphasis on artistic collaboration, our unique curricula for teaching traditional art forms in new ways, and our strong community outreach programs.
Our faculty bring with them an incredible network of personal relationships and professional organizations that provide outstanding educational and network opportunities for our students – all of which are reflected in the exciting visiting artists, artistic collaborations and community outreach programs the college cultivates throughout the year.
The students at the College of Performing Arts are not only trained in the theoretical; they master their art form with personalized instruction and they master their teaching by working in the community. Our students graduate with the kind of performing and teaching experiences they need to immediately begin their careers in the performing arts.
