Rinker Campus is built to help you become the best healthcare professional you can be.

Our labs and classrooms come outfitted with the latest learning and research tools. And you will take your skills and knowledge even further with hands-on lab work, shared learning spaces and the technology that makes it all possible. Some highlights are below.

Active Learning Center

Our Active Learning Center is a flipped classroom that comes equipped with wireless microphones and flat-screen monitors at each table.

It also has various cameras and 3-D projection screens that help students visualize lecture materials.

 

Communication Sciences and Disorders Adult Learning Lab

Our Communication Sciences and Disorders program prepares students to become Speech-language Pathologists. 

Among its many facilities is the Adult Learning Lab, a specialized environment for graduate student clinicians in the program to provide free diagnostic services to adults while receiving personalized supervision from CSD faculty.

Pharmacy Learning Labs

Two active learning spaces are designed for student pharmacists to learn compounding and other practical formulation tasks with shared equipment, team working tables and individual workspace ventilation systems.

Pharmaceutical Sciences Analytical Core Laboratories

Students in our Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences programs pursue original research projects and are trained on the correct use of basic and advanced analytical instrumentation in our core laboratories including:

  • Mass spectrometer.
  • Microplate reader.
  • Real-time PCR machine.
  • Ultra-Centrifuge.
  • X-ray diffractometer.
  • NMR spectrometer.
  • Chromatography instruments.
  • Flow cytometry.
  • Confocal and live cell microscopy.
  • Spatial Transcriptomics.
  • ELectrophysiology.
  • Surface Plasmon Resonance.
  • Peptide Synthesizer.

 

Doctor of Physical Therapy Motion Analysis Lab

This 3,700 sq. ft. lab comes equipped with a 10-camera motion analysis system, two force plates and 16 channels of wireless electromyography.

The system enables quantification of all aspects of movement, from standing or walking to elite athletic maneuvers.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Gait Rehabilitation Lab

This fully functional research lab focuses on the rehabilitation of neurological and musculoskeletal disorder patients and assists in evaluating the effectiveness of prosthetic or orthotic devices and surgical outcomes. 

The lab supports students focusing on research to improve the quality of life for stroke survivors who drive with driving simulator technologies that use EEG for assessment of cognitive loading during driving.

The lab is equipped with:

  • A 180-degree virtual reality motional analysis system
  • An instrumented treadmill with 6 degrees of freedom
  • 10 integrated cameras.

Physician Assistant Patient Evaluation Suite

Our Patient Evaluation Suite provides hands-on learning and training with advanced technology to PA students. Our facilities are equipped with:

  • Patient exam tables
  • Multiple simulation stations with mannequins
  • Equipment to provide interaction learning environments to practice both physical examinations and clinical procedures skills.
