» Anaconda

Anaconda is a distribution of the Python and R programming languages for scientific computing (data science, machine learning applications, large-scale data processing, predictive analytics, etc.), that aims to simplify package management and deployment.

Anaconda distribution comes with over 250 packages automatically installed, and over 7,500 additional open-source packages can be installed from PyPI as well as the conda package and virtual environment manager.

Anaconda’s distribution of Python and its conda utility are the recommended way to access Python and Python-related software on RTS resources, including the Keck cluster, especially for scientific computing.
