Biography

Born and raised in Southern California, Craig Fleming bounced around a typical series of jobs: Queen Mary tour guide, Disneyland walk-around and substitute seance medium at a private magic club in Newport Beach.

He (of course) became an actor and performed in dozens of local theatre productions. Recently Craig has appeared in national television commercials, with the distinction of being the last actor to play Colonel Sanders for KFC. (That’s him dancing with a giant bottle of Mrs. Butterworth’s.)

Also a writer, Craig developed games and scripts for Alchemy II (creators of Teddy Ruxpin), which led to a job with Walt Disney Imagineering and four (long) years in France, where he served as Senior Concepteur/Redacteur for the creation of Euro Disneyland (now Disneyland Paris.)

Returning to the States, Craig left WDI to pursue a career in theatre education, becoming Education Director for South Coast Repertory. Not long after, he earned an MFA in Acting from California State University Long Beach, staying on for several years to teach theatre studies.

Occasionally Craig substitutes K–12, where he’s inevitably Googled by some fourth grader and forced to show one of his weirder commercials. Mr. Fleming lives in Long Beach with his wife and son.
