Australia Summer Internship

Immerse yourself in the environment of Australia and get an intimate view into a country rich in culture and customs. During your 8 week internship, you will earn 3 units toward your degree and gain a new view of the world and your career! Internship opportunities are available in business, communication, education, information technology and law, science and social sciences.

Bangkok, Thailand Summer Internship

Bangkok is the hub for most of the commercial and economic activities of the Kingdom of Thailand. As a Bangkok intern, you will gain experience in the gateway to South-East Asia and future pillar of the ASEAN community while taking part in South East Asia’s vibrant culture and living.

Dublin, Ireland Summer Internship

The rich history and culture of Ireland through the lens of an internship is an extraordinary opportunity to integrate into Irish life. Dublin is the center of Irish industry and has a very international, cosmopolitan workforce. Depending on the industry in which you are interning, you could be in a small home-grown company or a multinational organization. All students will attend a week-long orientation to Dublin through a variety of session topics ranging from Dublin culture to internship expectations. Chapman students have the opportunity to live in Dublin for 8 weeks, and earn 3 units toward your degree. 

Who: Junior and Senior standing in any major with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
Course: INTI 495: International Internship - Placement in Dublin
When: 5/27/24-7/20/24; 8 week program, 7 week internship component 5 days a week (M-F)
Cost Range: $7,510.00- $8,261.00 (depending on number of participants) ** The Cost Range does NOT include any tuition costs. The most current summer tuition costs can be found through the Student Business Services.

Special note: Any students who want to work with "vulnerable populations" must now undergo an Irish background check (form NVB1). EUSA is asking all Dublin interns to complete Steps 1 & 2 of the Garda Vetting process. Then, only those students whose goals and interests are directed toward a placement which would entail work with a vulnerable population will continue to complete Steps 3 & 4.

Madrid, Spain Summer Internship

Madrid is Spain's capital and the largest city in the country. Experience the city's charms: a city with a rich cultural heritage and a booming metropolitan area considered to be Spain's headiest. Chapman students have the opportunity to intern in this beautiful city for 8 weeks, and earn 3 units toward your degree. Internship opportunities are available in a variety of industries. Interviews for this program are conducted solely in Spanish.

Who: Junior and Senior standing in any major with language proficiency equivalent to the skills achieved at the end of the 5th semester of college level Spanish, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
Course: INTI 494: International Internship - Placement in Madrid
When: 5/22/24-7/13/24

Note: that the Spanish Ministry of Finance and Public Administration has an additional requirement of an FBI background check from any students who are considering working with minors (18 yrs of age and younger). If you are interested in a placement working with minors, please open the Madrid FBI Background Check PDF to learn about the requirements. FBI background checks often take 12-14 weeks to complete. New Zealand Summer Internship

Experience New Zealand, famous for its breathtaking landscapes, dynamic culture, and dramatic history. Chapman students now have the opportunity to intern in this beautiful country for 8 weeks in the summer. You will earn 3 units toward your degree as well as gain insight into the world and your career! Internship opportunities are available in business, communication, education information technology and law, science and social sciences.

Prague, Czech Republic Summer Internship 

Prague is a modern city where you will encounter predominantly English-speaking businesses, cultural communities, beautiful historical cities and an opportunity to experience a vibrant cultural scene alongside the Czech people. Interning in Prague may provide 3 units toward degree requirements and a global perspective or insight into world and career possibilities. Personalized internships are developed to suit both academic and professional goals. All students will attend a week-long orientation to Prague through a variety of session topics ranging from Prague culture to internship expectations.

Who: Students must have a Junior or Senior standing in any major and a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA

Santiago, Chile Summer Internship

Chile is South America's safest and most thriving country that is known for its natural scenery, whether it is the mountains of Patagonia or the beach resort areas along the South Pacific Ocean. Since Chile is 2880 miles long, it hosts a wide range of climates including northern deserts, Mediterranean-like climate in the middle, and an oceanic climate of alpine tundra and glaciers in the south. Santiago is a modern city with a good public transportation system. Because Santiago is not as large as some of the other cities in Latin America, it makes it very manageable and easy to explore all that it offers. It is also the main business and commerce center of Chile, so it offers a wealth of career-building internship opportunities.

A wide range of internship placements in English and Spanish are available. English speaking placements will be focused in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, tourism, teaching, journalism, international trade, and conservation. Additional areas will be available to students who have intermediate Spanish language knowledge. An internship placement allows you to gain insight into your career and broaden your international network.

Seoul, South Korea Summer Internship

South Korea has experienced one of the largest economic transformations of the past 60 years. It started as an agriculture-based economy in the 1960s, and it became the 11th largest economy in the world in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016. Seoul has been ranked 1st in the world for Internet speed and, as the city with the biggest gaming community, that comes as no surprise. The city also hosts some of the largest tech players like Samsung and is already a leading hub for Blockchain technology. Seoul also has incredible temples spread out over the city. You will find a shamanist temple between apartment buildings and a Buddhist temple in an ultramodern shopping district. Seoul houses beautifully renovated palaces that are great examples of traditional Korean architecture. And Seoul has spectacular parks; all well-designed and well-maintained with lots of green and water.

Sorrento, Italy Summer Internship

This course provides the opportunity for students to participate in an eight-week Italian speaking internship in Sorrento, Italy and apply classroom learning to a professional business setting, particularly in terms of the communication-processes involved. Students will attend a pre-departure orientation; participate in a multi-day, in-country program introduction, and are placed in an Italian speaking, immersive internship, with appropriate sponsors in Italy relative to their major. Students receive regular feedback, and engage in assignments aiming to develop an ethical and critical perspective.
