Study Abroad Alumni "Ask Me Anything"

Information sessions for students to ask study abroad alumni about their experiences in specific countries and regions!

Study Abroad Fair

The Study Abroad Fair is the Center for Global Education's semi-annual event for Chapman students to learn all about the various study abroad opportunities available to them. Our partners from across the US and the world gather in Attallah Piazza to answer questions, provide advice, and encourage you to pursue an international academic experience! Popcorn, snacks, and other free items are provided at this event.

Gateway to Taiwan 

The Center for Global Education hosts Taiwanese events throughout the year in collaboration with the Chapman University Department of World Languages and Culture, the Taiwanese American Student Association (TASA), and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) to educate the Orange County community about the culture, language, and beauty of Taiwan. United Nations Gala

Join us to celebrate the Founding of the United Nations (by the US on October 24, 1945) in a special Gala Dinner Event. This special event, hosted by the United Nations Association of Orange County, promises to be an inspiring and informative gathering that underscores the significance of promoting and implementing the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Recognizing OC Leaders in Sustainability: Learn about how leaders throughout Orange County are implementing Sustainability Initiatives in their organizations, and the impact it is having in our communities. Honor individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding dedication to advancing the ideals of making our community better and fostering cooperation.

Gilman Scholarship Workshop

The CGE hosts this semi-annual virtual workshop, co-hosted by the Center for Undergraduate Excellence, where students can acquire writing tips for their scholarship application essay prompts. Students who receive a Federal Pell Grant may be eligible for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad.

Academic World Quest

Academic WorldQuest is a fun and challenging quiz contest for high school students who want to test their knowledge of global issues and foreign policy. Teams of students compete in different categories, ranging from current events to peace and conflict. The winning team from each local competition advances to the national finals in Washington, D.C., where they have the opportunity to meet experts and policymakers. 

International Education Week

International Education Week is a celebratory week on Chapman's campus when the CGE partners with other CU departments and faculty to offer performances, workshops, and other events that promote the development of international education in schools across the United States.
