Weekly Mindfulness Meditation

An opportunity to learn simple mindfulness tools, from building self-awareness to gaining awareness of the environment and justice-making.

Tuesdays, 9:00 - 9:45am.

In-person at the Fish Interfaith Center, Wilkinson Founders Chapel 103.

Mindfulness Course Spring 2022

In this course students will learn, practice, and explore what it means to be mindful, including the roots of modern mindfulness, the science behind mindfulness, and additional academic research on the benefits and limitations of mindfulness, as well as the practice of cultivating present moment awareness.

Tuesdays, 1:00pm - 2:15pm, Wilkinson Founds Chapel 103.

Mindfulness Certificate Course

Mindfulness is developing an open readiness to meet every day fully. You will learn tools of self-awareness for living with stress and gain greater compassion for ourselves, and offering greater compassion to our communities. The course will be an online virtual program. The course will be taught by Instructor Julie Artman. To RSVP, email interfaith@chapman.edu. Faculty, staff and students welcome!

Jumu'ah Prayers

Every Friday at 12:30 p.m.

Jumu'ah prayer is a special prayer that Muslims pray every Friday. it consists of a sermon followed by a prayer. It is held in the Wilkinson Founders Chapel at 12:30 p.m. and usually concludes around 2:00 p.m.. All are welcome.

Connecting with God: Growing with Centering Prayer 

Wednesdays 12 to 1PM PST on Zoom

People of faith are taught that they should talk to God. But what about listening for God? Rev. Nancy Brink will be teaching centering prayer, a meditation practice that is particularly relevant today. Each week will include a very brief teaching, a group practice of centering prayer, and then time for sharing, questions, and community building.

Latter-day Luncheon

Widtsoe Fellow.  Each week, folks from the Latter-day Saint community (and anyone else who's interested) get together for an informal discussion about an online article, video, or something else that makes us think about what it means to be both spiritual and religious in this wild new world we find ourselves in.

Q Spirit

Led by Rev. Nancy Brink and Chris Graycon. Students who identify as being part of the queer community are invited to this monthly support group. Goals: To explore the struggles that arise from being part of a religious group and being queer; to address the trauma experienced by members of the queer community at the hands of religion; to explore the ways one's spiritual life can bring resilience and strength to your life; to experience support and validation in an affirming queer environment
