Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship & Business Ethics

» Asociación de Emprendedor@s

La Asociación de Emprendedor@s is a non-profit 501c3  made by Hispanics for Hispanics providing empowerment, leadership and business opportunities for the monolingual Spanish speaking community.

Chapman University and the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics is proud to partner with Asociación de Emprendedor@s offering an 8-week program designed to help monolingual Spanish speakers create, run, and grow small businesses and microenterprises.

Many first-generation immigrants face hiring challenges by established businesses whether due to language issues, systemic racism, or other reasons. Forbes noted that first generation immigrants start businesses at a 27% higher rate than Americans who are not immigrants.

As our vision at the Leatherby Center is to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in all learners, and our mission is to provide hands on experience for aspiring entrepreneurs, we want to empower this community through entrepreneurship.

Led by powerhouse cohort leader Monica Robles, we are proud sponsors of this amazing program.
