Salmon Recital Hall (evening concert)
The Second Annual Chapman Percussion Symposium is a daylong celebration of all percussion instruments, featuring artists from the experimental cutting edge, to the most respected masters of the tradition. No matter your background, ability, or age, the Percussion Symposium’s many events will excite and inspire, while at the same time astonishing your senses and challenging your preconceptions of what kind of music percussion instruments make!
This year, along side our world-class artists, Southern California high school and university students have an opportunity to perform in the “Something Old, Something New Concert”, where classics of the percussion ensemble repertoire are presented alongside many recently composed, “soon-to-be-classic” works. For more information, download the participation form.
