The Federalist Society
for Law & Public Policy Studies

The Federalist Society is dedicated to America's founding values of limited government, free markets, and the preservation of what James Madison called "the sacred fire of liberty." In the past, the Federalist Society has held discussions on Supreme Court decisions, federal practice matters, privatization issues, and a host of other topics. As Justice Clarence Thomas said, when dedicating Chapman's Kennedy Hall, "Too few who understand, like our nation's founders, that when we submit the baser side of our natures to the rule of noble law, we rise above our passions and partake, in some small degree, of the divine." That is our goal.
