Transfer Credits
Chapman University acknowledges the validity of non-classroom acquired learning and accepts transfer credits earned through the use of national standardized and recognized testing instruments, such as AP and IB testing. Credit is given only for courses that meet Chapman standards. All new Freshman students placed in required preparatory skills in their first semester at Chapman University may earn waivers for the required ENG-099 and/or MATH-099 placements with qualifying SAT or ACT scores. Students matriculating in the 2005-2006 Catalog are also required placement in EDUC-099. Web Advisor ResourcesAdmitted students at Chapman may view accepted Transfer Credits, SAT/ACT Waivers, and AP or IB credits on their Web Advisor accounts, using the Summary of Transfer Credit function (see tutorial below). Students may also search for Course-to-course articulations in Web Advisor by using the Search for Transfer Courses tools.
