Biography

Reza Taheri currently serves as Professor and Associate Dean of Professional Affairs and
Student Success at Chapman University School of Pharmacy. Prior to joining Chapman, he
served as the Chief Strategy Officer at RxPrep Inc.. Dr. Taheri’s academic career path started
as a faculty at the Western University of Health Sciences, followed by faculty, Director of
Experiential Education, and Chair of the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes
Science at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. He then served as the founding
Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and later Dean of the School of Pharmacy at West Coast
University where he led the program to full accreditation.

Dr. Taheri completed his undergraduate training as well as the Doctor of Pharmacy
program at the University of Minnesota and a fellowship in cardiovascular
pharmacotherapy at the same institution. He earned an Executive Master of Business
Administration at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. Reza
is also a certified Emotional Intelligence Coach.

Dr. Taheri’s research interests are in area of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
(SoTL). Particular areas of focus include curricular integration and affective domain
knowledge and skill development.
