Biography
Dr. Natalia Sánchez is an assistant professor in the department of Physical Therapy at Chapman University. Dr. Sanchez received her BS in Biomedical Engineering from the Universidad EIA – Universidad CES, Colombia. Dr Sánchez completed her MS and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University researching stroke neuropathophysiology and motor control. Dr. Sanchez completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California researching locomotor neuromechanics and energetics. Dr Sánchez’s research has been funded by the NIH and the American Heart Association. Dr. Sánchez research program focuses on the mechanisms that shape walking behaviors in healthy individuals and individuals after neurologic injury.
