Research Interests

Dr. Munjy's clinical research focuses on methods to imbed clinical pharmacists in ambulatory care settings with an emphasis on inter-professional team-based delivery of care.  In addition, Dr. Munjy is interested in determining methods to successfully sustain clinical pharmacists as core team members in all primary care practices by demonstrating an improvement in objective health markers, patient satisfaction as well as provider satisfaction in order to validate the role of the clinical pharmacist in this practice setting.  Furthermore, Dr. Munjy is interested in how non-pharmacological therapies such as mindfulness meditation, music therapy, and group therapy can improve medication adherence, improve patient outcomes, and build trust between the provider and patient.  In addition to Dr. Munjy's clinical research interests, Dr. Munjy will be initiating a Master of Education in Health Professions degree through Johns Hopkins University to explore how health professional students can be better trained and assessed in the affective domain of learning.
