Biography

Erin O’Neill is the Artistic Director and Founder of The Little Theatre in Orange County, directing youth through complex literature to promote literacy and creative expression. She has been a proud teacher at the Journey School for 10 years (where her children attended) teaching academics and directing full-length Shakespeare and classical theatrical productions.

Ms. O’Neill holds a BFA from the Tisch School of the Arts, where she trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory, and then within a cohort under the legendary, award winning Broadway director, producer and writer, Elizabeth Swados. Erin went on to perform leading and supporting parts in four professional productions with Swados, alongside Tony Award Winners and produced by New York Stage and Film. She has also performed Off-Broadway at the La Mama Theater and Playwrights Horizons, and wrote, co-directed and starred in productions at the Axis and Here Theatres in New York City. Although she realized soon that she preferred the theatre, O’Neill has guest starred and performed in small TV roles such Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Popular, through Warner Bros. and Jim Henson productions (including leading roles in the TV show Ghost Stories). She has appeared in a number of independent and graduate student NYC films in conjunction with NYU, Columbia and independent friends/directors.
