Biography

David Kleiman is a real estate developer, educator and attorney based in California. He co-founded D2 Realty Services, Inc., a national real estate development firm.

In addition to managing his real estate portfolio, Mr. Kleiman teaches a real estate course at Chapman University.  Previously, he taught the real estate transactions course at Stanford Law School from 2017 to 2022 and multiple architecture courses at the Stanford School of Engineering from 2012 to 2023. Mr. Kleiman also taught multiple architecture courses at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2011-2022.

Mr. Kleiman's firm recently completed and sold a two-tower multi-family development joint-venture known as Alta Grand Central Chicago. The company’s last office development is located at 250 South Wacker Drive in Chicago’s loop, which won the 2014 BOMA TOBY award. That project is the current world headquarters for MillerCoors Brewing Company. Mr. Kleiman’s California work includes Palo Alto’s first net-zero electric mixed-use building, a project which received the 2018 AIA Honor Award for Silicon Valley.

Mr. Kleiman received his B.S. in Psychology with honors from the University of Illinois, and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.

Mr. Kleiman is admitted to practice in Illinois, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Urban Land Institute, and the American Institute of Architects.
