Biography

David Kuhn is an artist and animator with more than 16 years’ experience in film and television.

He began his career as a character layout artist for the Warner Bros. TV series Animaniacs, Taz-mania and the theatrical short Carrotblanca. As an animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios, he worked on Meeko and Flit in Pocahontas, Hades in Hercules and the "Pines of Romes" and "Steadfast Tin Soldier" sequences of Fantasia 2000. Kuhn was a supervising animator on Mouseworks and The Tigger Movie and an animator on Warner Bros.’ Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes: Back in Action and the AAA EA Games title Medal of Honor. He also ran his own commercial animation studio.

In his academic career, Kuhn was a professor and chair of animation at Laguna College of Art & Design for more than 12 years and taught in the animation department at California State University Long Beach. Kuhn is an expert in helping students create compelling stories and believable performances driven by character personality and emotion.

He is a graduate of USC School of Cinematic Arts where he received his degree in film and television production.
