Cultural Essentials Series

» Welcome to the Cultural Essentials Series

The Chapman Cultural Essentials Series (CES) is four unique workshops focused on Leadership, Care, Service, and Relationships, where you will learn how to shape, influence, and enhance your employee experience and create an environment where we all engage, achieve, and belong.

  • Each workshop is approximately four hours long.
  • Enrolling in the Influential Leadership workshop first is recommended but not required before attending the other three workshops.
  • Participants don’t need to enroll in all four workshops at once to start the series.
  • Before enrolling, please confirm your participation with your supervisors.
  • Enrollment is open for supervisors of staff, supervisors of administrators, and all regular staff and administrators.
  • Upon completion of the series, participants will receive a certificate of achievement via LMS365 and CES name badge via email for their Outlook signature.
  • Participants who complete the series within 12 months may select from an exclusive CES travel mug or notebook.

"I participated in the Leadership Workshop and truly enjoyed the experience. It is rare to have dedicated time to connect with colleagues across campus and discuss leadership values while strengthening friendships. A big thank you to the Leadership Development team for their hard work in producing this workshop!"
Rosie
Director of Accounts Payable
"The Leadership Development workshop was very engaging, equips leaders with essential skills and techniques you need to look at challenges from a different perspective. It also allowed me to work with various employees in different departments, which promoted cohesiveness, teamwork, and sense of belonging."
Adey
Director of Purchasing
"The Genuine, Individualized Care workshop is arguably one of the best sessions I have taken during my (almost) four decades at CU. I believe all CU staff members should take this. Indeed, my outlook on the "work-life balance" would have been plausibly impacted, and I probably would have performed much better at work and in life in general."
