American Educational Research Association created a SIG to foster inclusive education in schools. The Special and Inclusive Education Research Special Interest Group was created to "to promote and explore areas of educational research of interest to special and general educators, including individual differences, teaching strategies and issues related to learning and well-being. In particular, to promote the study of issues and practices related to the education of persons with disabilities" (aera.net). Dr. Meghan Cosier, TPI's Director, is currently serving as the Secretary / Treasurer for the SIG. 

TPI partners with the Special and Inclusive Education Research SIG to present conversations with leading scholars in the field of special and inclusive education. Recordings of the conversations can be viewed below:

A conversation with Dr. Federico Waitoller, associate professor at the department of special education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, titled "Excluded by Choice."
