» Dean's Welcome

Connecting talented students, renowned faculty, and influential business leaders in a personalized setting are what distinguishes the George L. Argyros College of Business and Economics.  At the Argyros College, you will work with faculty ranging from Nobel Laureates to journal editors, to investment bankers, former CEOs, Corporate Board members and entrepreneurs.  In economics, you might study with Nobel Prize winner Vernon Smith.  Our Accounting majors are challenged by nationally recognized scholars and former partners from Big 4 Accounting firms.  President Emeritus Jim Doti may be your statistics professor.  Finance students will collaborate with investment bankers, CFOs, and leading academics.  You will undoubtedly find our faculty quoted in newspapers, cited in academic journals, published on the editorial pages or interviewed on television.

And our style of education is personalized.  With small classes, you receive personal attention from faculty, develop personal relationships with other students, and meet visiting executives in intimate settings.  We can connect you with executive mentors, relevant internships, and other career services.  Bloomberg terminal training, CFA preparation, study abroad opportunities, “Wall Street Prep courses,” and our Launch Labs are just a few of the opportunities available to personalize your experience.

At the Argyros College you won’t merely enter an academic program, serve on the faculty, or participate on one of our Boards, but you will join a community. The community you join places you at the center of the Orange County business community.  Our alumni and business partners include some of the most influential people in Southern California and beyond.  With their support, the Argyros College has become the premier source of ideas, connections, and talent in Orange County.

I invite you to contact us to learn more about our academic programs, upcoming events, and other opportunities.
