The full scope of the project includes addressing any gaps in systems and processes needed for workforce reporting. The assessment of root causes revealed the need to update budget data by position or pool, review inefficient business processes, and compile data housed in various systems.

Due to the broad scope and complexity of issues, the project is expected to span more than one year and will be implemented in phases. The following is the tentative scope by year to be confirmed during analysis and design.

Year One - Will focus on data issues, including data redesign, data cleansing/correction, and data reconciliation. System functionality that is available but not enabled to support budgeting will be implemented. Work will be coordinated with the Data Analytics team to reflect any data mart changes and build approved reports.

Year Two – Add selected functionality available in PeopleSoft Manager Self Service (MSS) and Employee Self Service (ESS) that automates FTE and Salary workflows will be introduced to managers and employees.

Year Three – New MSS and ESS features that will enhance and streamline the use of PeopleSoft for administrators and managers will be implemented.

Note: Areas that are part of all phases of the project, such as historical data, security, and change management, will be part of each phase and planned based on the scope.
