Host a Chappy Hour in Your Region
On the third Thursday of every other month, Chapman grads across the country get together for happy hour, networking and of course, fun! The primary goal of Chappy Hour is to build a stronger Chapman network across the country. Relationships made at Chappy Hour have resulted in new friendships, job opportunities, and the recruitment of passionate alumni to reinvigorate their connection with Chapman. Chappy Hours are currently hosted in the following cities/regions: Orange County, San Jose, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Boston, Washington D.C. and Denver. If you’re interested in becoming a regional ambassador and hosting a Chappy Hour in your area, contact the Office of Alumni Engagement.
Alumni Host, Speakers and Mentors for Welcome Receptions
Chapman families across the nation, from Boston to Hawaii are opening their homes this summer to host Welcome Receptions for new students and their families. These events provide a chance for incoming students to get to know their fellow classmates before beginning their lifelong journey as members of the Chapman community. Welcome Receptions are also a great opportunity for parents to meet members of the Chapman community including alumni, current students, incoming students, families, and Chapman staff, who are all ready to welcome them to the Chapman Family!

Host an Alumni Networking Roundtable
Hosted every other month at a different location in Orange County, Alumni Networking Roundtables are designed for alumni who are employed or in transition and are interested in expanding their professional network. Roundtables are an optimal way to introduce your business, yourself and your career aspirations to fellow Chapman University alumni, who may have the connections you need to help you accomplish your goals. Attendees bring a brief, one page résumé of their education and skills, work experience and companies being targeted for employment. At the conclusion of the event, you will have not only made some new connections, but also potentially better positioned yourself for an opportunity to fulfill your career goals. Host a Regional Event
The Office of Alumni Relations plans events throughout the country every year and we welcome the help of our alumni. You can host an alumni event by selecting a date, make arrangements with the venue or open your home or business to the event, and serve as our point person at the event. Alumni Relations will take care of the website and email communications, collect RSVPs, and send a package to the host with nametags, sign in sheets and giveaways.
