» Founders Day

Founders Day is an annual celebration of the heritage of Chapman University, founded by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Since 2010 we are also officially related to the United Church of Christ. At Founders Day, we:

  • Learn from a renowned scholar;
  • Worship together, hearing a great preacher;
  • Recognize a UCC and Disciples Church Leader of the Year and celebrate their accomplishments;
  • Enjoy time with Disciples and UCC students from across the country;
  • Reconnect with Disciples and UCC alumni and parents of current students;

SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, March 10, 2018 and come back to this site during the winter for complete information about the date. Our speaker will be the Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, University Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies, holding chair of Mary Jane Werthan Professor of Jewish Studies in the Vanderbilt Divinity School and College of Arts and Science.
