Martin P. Florman is an adjunct professor who teaches Business Planning; coordinator of the Corporate Counsel Extern Program for the law school; and a member of the Board of Advisors for the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Ethics at Chapman University. Mr. Florman earned his Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Los Angeles, and his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law.
Mr. Florman is also a Shareholder in the firm of Buchalter Nemer's Corporate Practice Group in Orange County. He sits on the firm's Board of Directors and is Managing Shareholder of the Orange County office. He is also a member of the firm's Recruiting Committee. Mr. Florman represents global, middle market and emerging growth companies in general corporate matters, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property matters. He has extensive experience counseling both public and private companies on issues related to private placements, public offerings, disclosure compliance, venture finance agreements, stock options, employment agreements, corporate partnering agreements, and the structuring and negotiation of leveraged employee stock ownership plan transactions. For four years, he served as the Chair of the Business and Corporate Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association.
