Jojo Siu hails from Philadelphia, and has worked as a costume designer for film, opera, theatre and dance in Philadelphia, New York, Maryland, California, Santa Fe, and Singapore. She has worked with the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Skylight Theatre Company, the Santa Fe Opera, South Coast Repertory, Golden West College, Fullerton College, Chapman University, Backhaus Dance, OC Shakespeare Festival, the Milburn Stone Theatre, and Singapore Repertory Theatre, among many others. She is a huge advocate for Asian diversity within theatre, and loves bridging diversity and design by promoting foreign and cultural research and design aesthetic in her work, and being inspired by the Asian storytelling tradition that is important to her own Chinese heritage and history. Her repertoire includes La Fanciulla del West, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Othello, Twelfth Night, Spring Awakening, West Side Story, Les Miserables, Importance of Being Earnest, Toys in the Attic, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Waiting for Godot, and Blood Wedding. She is currently serving as an adjunct professor at Fullerton College, Golden West College, and Chapman University, teaching costume construction and design.
