Internships, Research, and Service Learning Programs
Participating in an international internship, conducting research, or doing service learning during a semester abroad is a great way to gain hands-on experience, build your resume and marketability upon graduation, contribute to the local community, and develop a new perspective. These programs typically consist of courses for language, culture, major, and minor credit while including a separate experiential learning component.

Independent Applicants
Chapman University strongly discourages students from going abroad independently. The Center for Global Education has many diverse programs available, and we encourage you to speak with us if you have questions about program availability. If you choose, please download the Independent Applicant instructions to learn more about status, transfer credits, financial aid, and support from Chapman if you decide to study abroad independently.
