Flyer for 2017 Choral Music CampUnder the direction of Keith Hancock, 2017 winner of the GRAMMY® Music Educator of the Year, Chapman University’s week-long Choral Music Camp features mixed choir, women’s choir and men’s choir as well as small ensembles in which students explore making music with new friends.  Open to all students entering grades 9-12, our Camp faculty and instructors are committed to providing students with an exciting, positive and rewarding musical experience.  We hope you will join us for a week of singing, learning and fun!

+ - Camp Tuition

Campers have two (2) options: Overnight or Commuter.

Regular Registration (April 2, 2017 or later):

Overnight Camper: $775
REGISTER NOW! (registration ends 5/26)

Includes room and board (double occupancy plus breakfast, lunch and dinner), week-long day camp, choral music packet and camp T-shirt.

  • Deposit due on or before 5/26/17: $400 (non-refundable)
  • Final amount due on 6/1/17: $375

Commuter Camper (daytime & evening): $415

Includes week-long day camp, cafeteria plan (lunch and dinner), choral music packet and camp T-shirt.

  • Due on or before 6/1/17: $415


  • Overnight Camper registrations will be accepted until May 26, 2017, based on availability.
  • Commuter Camper registrations will be accepted until June 1, 2017, based on availability.

 Space fills up quickly, enroll early!

Overnight Campers check into dorms on Sunday evening (June 18).

Regular camp instruction begins 9am, Monday morning (June 19).


Below is a sample daily schedule (9am-9pm) - a finalized scheduled will be emailed to all participants:

+ - Accommodations

Overnight Campers stay in an on-campus Chapman University dormitory (girls-only/boys-only), and chaperones are provided.  Rooms are based on double occupancy with a private bathroom.

  • Check-In: Sunday, June 18
  • Check-Out: Friday, June 23 (before Final Concert)

+ - Camp Scholarships & Refund Policy

Last year, Chapman’s Choral Music Camp awarded over $10,000 in scholarships and financial assistance!


A limited number of partial scholarships are available and awarded on a case-by case basis.  Scholarships may only be applied toward camp instruction and do not apply to housing costs.

Application forms are available upon request.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

In the event you must cancel your registration, refunds are defined below:

  • Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing.
  • Request for cancellation due to illness, accident, or death in the family requires documentation.  Upon receipt of documentation, a full refund will be issued.  Verification must be received no later than three (3) days after the scheduled start date.
    • Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your refund.
    • Students who withdraw during the Choral Music Camp will not receive a refund.

Overnight - if you cancel for any reason prior to 6/1/17, you will receive a full refund less the non-refundable deposit.

Commuters - if you cancel for any reason prior to 6/18/17, you will receive a full refund less a $50 cancellation fee.

NOTE: Cancellation requests received after Choral Music Camp starts (after 6/19/17) will forfeit full tuition.
