Sally joined the Career Development Center in April 2013 and has focused on educating students in understanding that we are entering a new era where social media and technology are changing the face of career development as we have known it. In that process she wants to assist students to begin preparing for what will ultimately be lifelong skills in connecting and communicating with people all over the world.
Sally has always been a believer that if you do what you love doors will open and success will follow. With that belief she seeks to inspire students to find their passions and find what makes them unique and special, thus helping them focus those abilities into a major and career. With a background in Counseling Psychology, Sally is also in the process of earning her hours towards her licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Sahzeah, a 2003 Chapman University Graduate, joined the Career Development Center in November 2013 and has spent her career working in the field of Education with students ranging from pre-K through college. With her M.A. in Counseling, she spent two years working with students returning to college well into their 60’s & 70’s. She understands students and their experiences very well, especially after working with them through the entire cycle of educational growth. It is easy to see why she is a Career Educator, she enjoys the experience of helping students continually grow and redefine themselves as people. She has worked for a nonprofit government organization, a for-profit college, within two separate school districts and in partnership with state, community, and private colleges & universities. She is always working with students to help and push them to be their best. The goal is always to help students be the best that they individually can be.
She lived on four continents before she was ten years old, and it is on her bucket list to visit all 50 states – she has visited 33 so far. She enjoys spending time with her three spoiled dogs, reading fiction, volunteering at her church, cooking & baking, and of course, traveling as much as she can! Sahzeah works part-time in the CDC.

As a Career Educator, Sharon’s passion is to assist students in being successful in the career and life planning goals. Sharon joined the CDC in fall of 2006 following her retirement after 30 years of service at the Career Center at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. While there, she received the STAR Award – Student Affairs Recognition Award for dedication to students and the student affairs division. A graduate of California Poly Pomona with a B.A. in Behavioral Science, Sharon earned an M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. Sharon works part-time in the CDC which allows her to opportunity to enjoy her grandchildren, three Akitas, two birds and a fish! Sharon encourages you to stop by the Career Development Center and looks forward to working with you.

Sarah brings an artist’s eye to public relations and marketing in the Career Development Center, in addition to serving students through career guidance. Sarah began in the CDC in 2011. Now she manages the graphic design and marketing student-staff and uses her experience in promotions and graphic design to creatively engage all on the Chapman campus. Sarah earned her B.A. in Journalism/Public Relations at California State University, Long Beach and is a contributing writer and photographer/designer for the Sacramento Bee and numerous magazines. Sarah loves Chapman University’s vibrant, passionate staff and the strong sense of community in our student body. Sarah was born into a family of artists – her grandmother was a fine artist and billboard artist in the day when billboards were hand painted. Sarah feels an artistic responsibility to represent the world in a way it is not often seen; art is a vehicle for that passion. Sarah also is a partner in a photography and styling business.
Her interests include event planning, makeup art, special effects, body painting, and musical theater. Sarah’s roles have included Mrs. Hannigan in “Annie,” the lead in “Aida,” and Mrs. Walker in the rock opera “Tommy”…and man, can she sing!

Aaron joined the Career Development Center in January 2014 and brought with him a passion for helping students find that perfect job or internship. He is focused on connecting with new and exciting employers and bringing them to recruit Chapman students and alumni. His responsibilities include planning on campus recruiting and networking events as well as building relationships between employers and the CDC.
Aaron earned his Bachelors of Science in Marketing from California State University, Long Beach in 2008. He enjoys traveling with his wife and tries to squeeze in a round of golf when he has a chance. Aaron also enjoys photography, watching sports, cooking, and outdoor adventures.

Caitlin joined the Career Development Center in August 2014 as the Career Relations Specialist. She brings with her over 10 years of combined experience in the areas of customer service, marketing, writing/editing, and career education. Caitlin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, in 2009.
She is currently working toward her Master of Arts degree in Leadership Development at Chapman University, and she is so happy to be helping students in the process of their major and career exploration. In her free time, she loves to write, watch movies, and attend comedy shows with friends.

Claire joined the Career Development Center in December 2014. As the Career Relations Assistant, she works with students, faculty advisors, and site supervisors throughout the internship application and registration process. Claire graduated from Cal State San Marcos with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences; prior to joining the CDC team, she held a position at Roadtrip Nation, an education company that inspires people to discover their career paths.
Claire has also worked with a non-profit, Girls Inc., where she helped facilitate their externship process by communicating with students and employers and hosting professional development workshops to prepare students to work part time at companies and organizations throughout Orange County. Claire is excited for the opportunity to work with students and be a part of their career exploration process. In her spare time, she loves to run, read, and spend time with friends and family.

Franciska joined the Career Development Center in February of 2015. As the Career Operations Coordinator, she supervises student workers and participates in a central effort to strengthen the CDC’s image and reputation in connecting students and alumni to Chapman University’s career network and events. Franciska graduated with a double major in Human Development and Sociology from California State University, Long Beach. Prior to joining the CDC team, Franciska worked in federally funded workforce programs for Orange County Social Services and the Workforce Investment Act. Franciska took on many roles at the Orange County One Stop Center as a Lead Case Manager, Workshop Facilitator, and a Job Developer for the youth, veterans, low income adults, dislocated workers, and disabled worker populations. She also has an athletic background and coached Division One College Softball at California State University, Long Beach and UC Riverside for a total of four years.
As a former student-athlete and coach in the sport of softball, Franciska helped create a mentorship program to assist graduating student athletes find a job after their athletic career ended. She currently volunteers her time coaching Chapman University’s Softball team and enjoys engaging students into the Career Development Center. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, workout, and dance Salsa.
