Tutors are fellow students who work towards facilitating understanding of key concepts, relationships, and applications in one-on-one or small group settings. They are hired for undergraduate subjects, primarily lower division, in which there is a greater interest in tutoring. Tutoring is an excellent way to review and better understand course material while helping students become independent learners.
Subjects include, but are not limited to:
- Accounting
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Economics
- Finance
- Math
- Music
- Spanish
Candidates who are eligible to tutor multiple subject areas and/or multiple courses are preferred.
Academic Mentors are hired to assist students achieve success in their overall coursework. They provide students with learning skills and study strategies which enhance their ability to learn course content and experience a more balanced and successful university experience.
