The Chapman University Green Fund exists as a collaboration between the Student Government Association and Facilities & Management to develop innovative, sustainable initiatives that provide value and utility to the student body and improve institutional sustainability in the long term. The Green Fund will help to create a culture of environmental stewardship on campus by dedicating funding to pertinent facility projects and by facilitating meaningful engagement between students, organizations, and faculty.

The solar powered charging table is here and ready for use outside the Masson Family Beach Club! Earlier this fall semester, the new solar powered charging table was added. This new sustainable feature on campus offers multiple solar charging ports, including typical sockets as well as USB and USB-C chargers. It is available at anytime and even features a light for gloomier days or use at night! Next to the solar charging table is a trellis wall that features the plant Duranta erecta - a drought tolerant plant - that uses a drip irrigation system for water to limit water use! Come enjoy the newest Green Fund project near the dorms, located behind the volleyball court!

Chapman Grand's community garden was created in Fall 2024, thanks to the Chapman Green Fund! The gardens are located in the Katella Ave courtyard on the first floor between quads C and D. Signing up for the community garden is completely free, and residents can reserve a garden bed with up to six people. The garden is equipped with seed packets to help gardeners get started, along with a hose, soil, and tools. Come visit the community garden and see what our gardeners are growing!
