Parking Services is responsible for the implementation of the university parking policy set forth by the parking committee. Parking Services coordinates and regulates the administration of this policy with respect to vehicle registration and parking enforcement in an effort to provide safe parking for all members of the campus community and their guests.
Chapman University has a mandatory parking permit policy for all university constituents. This policy, mandated by the City of Orange, is designed to promote on-campus parking to lessen the impact on the residents living in close proximity to the university.
Parking is enforced 24 hours-per-day; 365 days-per-year. Parking without a valid parking permit will result in a parking citation.
The 2014/2015 permits are valid through 8/14/15. The Vehicle Registration System will be available to register for 2015/16 parking permits and parking permit waivers beginning June 1, 2015. Registrations submitted prior to 6/1/15 will need to be resubmitted. Waivers must be submitted each fall semester to continue to waive the mandatory parking permit. If you will be studying abroad during the fall semester, you will need to return your transponder (if applicable) before you will be able to apply for a parking fee waiver. The waiver deadline for the fall semester is September 20, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
Parking Services will begin mailing permits July 6, 2015. Save yourself time and opt to have your permit mailed. Students are automatically assessed a parking fee so once the on-line registration is complete, the permit will be mailed if this option is selected. Faculty and staff can pay at the Cashier's Office or via payroll deduction. Faculty and Staff permits will be available to be mailed provided proof of payment is mailed or scanned to email@example.com. The Confirmation page will be valid as a parking permit while the mail request is being processed.
Permits will be available to pick-up in person beginning August 6, 2015. Public Safety's Office is located at 418 N. Glassell St. You must register on-line at Vehicle Registration and bring your photo ID to Public Safety to obtain a parking permit. Students are automatically assessed a parking fee. Faculty and staff can pay at the Cashier's Office and bring a receipt to Public Safety to obtain a permit, or complete a Payroll Deduction Form at Public Safety prior to a permit being issued.
If a summer 2015 permit is needed, please contact the Business Office and inform the dispatcher when picking up the permit.
