Remembering Pearl Harbor
Even after 75 years, the attack on Pearl Harbor remains a touchstone moment in history. Chapman alumnus and veteran Clint Paulson ’49 reflects on the ripple effects of this tragedy that stretch across the landscape of history, affecting countless lives and driving perceptions and policy.
The Smith Institute is named in honor of Adam Smith (1723-1790), the moral philosopher who is widely known for authoring two great works, The Theory of Moral Sentiments and The Wealth of Nations, and Chapman’s 2002 Nobel laureate in economic science, Vernon L. Smith.
