The Capital Semester Program, sponsored through the Fund for American Studies, gives undergraduate students the opportunity to complete a semester internship in Washington, D.C. while taking courses through Georgetown University.
Students intern approximately 30 hours a week in Congressional offices, think tanks, international organizations, nonprofits, foreign embassies, lobbying firms or media outlets. Students are also enrolled full-time at Georgetown University, where they participate in a rigorous curriculum consisting of the following three courses.
- Theories of Constitutional Interpretation (Govt 408)
- Economics and Public Policy Issues (Econ 219)
- Public Affairs Internship Semester (Govt 241)
