Why are you a CARES member:
I joined cares because a close friend of mine was tragically raped in high school. After watching her go through that ordeal I knew I wanted to help other victims in any way I could. Throughout out the remainder of my high school days I looked for that kind of opportunity but never found one. Then I found out about C.A.R.E.S. The club gave a presentation in my women's self defense class and knew this was just he kind of outlet I was looking for.

Why do you feel CARES is important for our campus?
CARES is a great group of people working for an incredibly important cause. Prevention and awareness are key in the effort to create a rape-free environment here at chapman, and in the greater community as well. The presence of CARES on campus is essential to letting survivors and allies know that there is always a safe place for them at Chapman.
