Student Civic Engagement offers a variety of programs, events, opportunities and experiences designed specifically for Chapman students. These opportunities will enhance your understanding about, and engagement within, our community, help you develop skills, and increase your awareness about social issues – they also provide enjoyable learning experiences to share with your peers!
Alternative Break Program
Feel like an educational adventure? Take part in a travel experience focused on service or sustainability. Alternative Break Trips are offered during spring break, interterm, and summer; they include domestic and international destinations and vary in length. Enjoy leadership roles? Apply to be a Trip Coordinator. Applications are due Friday, September 28th.
Community Supported Agriculture
Want fresh produce delivered to you on campus? For a monthly fee, the Community Supported Agriculture program connects you with a local farm, delivering fresh fruits and vegetables for pick-up in the Student Union. It’s good for you and good for the community!

New Orleans Travel Course
Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, as well as our country. Rebuilding efforts are ongoing and the lessons to be learned from this disaster continue to grow; the New Orleans Travel Course will involve you in both as we explore leadership through this national catastrophe and engage in a week of service in New Orleans.
