» Arts at Chapman

With a strong focus on the arts, Chapman University recognizes the value of endeavors in the graphic, visual, and performance arts, as well as many other artistic endeavors. Students are encouraged to express their creativity in their studies, regardless of their chosen field.

In addition to our academic programs, Chapman also presents special events like American Celebration, one of Southern California’s most anticipated events. Now in its 31st year, American Celebration features two nights of dazzling entertainment from a cast of over 100 talented students from the award-winning College of Performing Arts featuring live orchestra in fully produced scenes from some of Broadway’s most memorable shows.

We understand the value that art has in our everyday lives, which is why Chapman is proud to house the beautiful Escalette Permanent Collection of Art. This collection isn’t found in one location on campus, it’s found in hallways, lobbies, meeting spaces, courtyards and offices for all to enjoy. In addition, we are also proud to host the Hilbert Museum of California Art, which focuses on California Scene painting between the 1930s and 1970s. We believe that enriching our campus with unique and beautiful artwork inspires all who enter the Chapman University campus.
