Pre-Arrival Checklist
- Activate Your Student Center Account/PantherMail
- Shortly after you are admitted, you will receive an email from our Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) department that lists your student ID number and Chapman username and password. If it has been more than 2 weeks since your acceptance and you have not received this information, please contact the IS&T Service Desk at (714) 997-6600 or servicedesk@chapman.edu.
- Use this username and password to access your student information, including registration, financial aid, and billing.
- Use the Chapman University Student Center portal to access your student information. Your portal provides you direct web access to all your Chapman student services. Information currently available to you includes: student account information, admission information, financial aid, course information, and registration.
- Enroll in Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): this is an extra layer of defense against cyber criminals that requires users to provide additional ID verification when attempting to access Chapman systems (such as Canvas, Zoom, Office 365, and others) from off campus. To enroll in 2FA, click this 2FA Self-Enrollment link. For more information about 2FA at Chapman, please visit Chapman.edu/2fa, or contact our 2FA support team at 2fa@chapman.edu for assistance.
- Submit Final Documents/Complete Program Requirements
- If you have not already done so, please submit your official final transcript(s) with your degree(s) posted. If you are an international student who submitted an unofficial transcript for evaluation purposes, or need to submit your diploma, please submit official documents to the Office of Graduate Admission to complete your file.
- Official transcripts can be sent electronically from your university or institute to admtranscript@chapman.edu or mailed to:

- Register for Classes and Meet with your Academic Advisor
- Contact your Academic Advisor with questions about course registration. If your program isn't listed, your department will contact you directly about registration.
- New Student registration information, including registration dates, can be found online. For the full registration timeline, visit the registration timeline website.
- Register online by logging into your Student Center self-service portal. Go to the Training Student Center webpage for instructions on how to register for classes.
- The following graduate programs will block register students; you will not need to register for classes if you're a student in one of the following programs:
- MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- MMS in Physician Assistant Studies
- Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Doctor of Pharmacy
- Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Communication Sciences and Disorders

- Students applying for federal aid should ensure that Chapman has their social security number on file. If you have completed a FAFSA form and did not provide your social security number when you applied, please contact the Graduate Financial Aid office to provide it. They can be contacted by emailing gradfinaid@chapman.edu or by calling (714) 628-2730.
- Create Student Medical Portal account and complete to-do items
- All students must provide evidence of medical insurance coverage or they will be enrolled in the plan selected by the university and charged the cost of coverage. Health insurance assures that each student has the benefit of medical insurance in the event of a major medical need.
- Find more information about Chapman's Student Health Insurance plan, including providing proof of existing medical insurance here.
- In addition to health insurance, students must create a Student Medical Portal account and complete the to-do items in to portal. Visit the Student Medical Portal for more information.

- Upload your Student ID Card Photo
- Once you have registered for classes, upload your photo for your Student ID card online.

- Secure Housing
- Visit the Housing and Residence Life website for more details and resources about graduate housing, or call (714) 997-6603.
- Visit a list of housing communities near Chapman University's Orange campus and Harry & Diane Rinker Health Science campus.
- Register for Parking Permit
- Parking permits are mandatory for anyone driving to campus or living on campus with a vehicle. To register for a complimentary (free of cost) parking permit, go to https://chapman.nupark.com/portal.

Post-Arrival Checklist

- Most programs have a mandatory program-specific orientation. We will update this page as orientation dates are scheduled. Please contact your department if you have not heard about an orientation date by August 1st.
- International students should also be prepared to attend a mandatory orientation prior to the start of their first semester. This page will be updated with the international student orientation date/time once it is scheduled.
- Pick up your ID card on campus
- After you have uploaded your ID photo online, you can pick up your Student ID card at Card Services in the Telecommunications Office in the Leatherby Library (located on Orange Campus).

- Settle in and explore campus
- From eateries, museums, and everything in between, there's plenty to explore.
- Orange Campus Amenities: Dining, Leatherby Libraries, University Bookstore, Student Health Services, Student Psychological Counseling Services, Wellness & Recreation, Career and Professional Development, and more.
- Rinker Campus Amenities: there are many on-campus services currently available at Rinker, and there are plans to grow the campus which will include new dining and recreation facilities and a new student center.
- Join clubs and organizations
- Getting involved and connecting with other students is easy at Chapman! Learn more about Graduate Student Clubs and Organizations.
- The Graduate Student Council is a great way to be a part of student government.
- International Student Services holds workshops and events for international students throughout the year.
International Students Checklist
- For specific information regarding international student services, visit the International Student Services Office website or contact iss@chapman.edu or (714) 744-2110.
- All international students are automatically billed for Student Health Insurance. Visit the Student Health Insurance webpage under the All International Students tab for more information.
- If you submitted unofficial transcripts or scores for evaluation purposes, you're now required to submit official documents to the Office of Graduate Admission to complete your file:
- Transcript in both your native language and an English translation
- Diploma in both your native language and an English translation
- You will need to complete the International Student Supplement Form to confirm your personal information. Anyone seeking an F-1 Visa must also provide us with required financial verification to begin the process for an I-20.
