Sorority recruitment is an exciting learning experience! There are many opportunities that sorority life can offer related to leadership, professional development, philanthropy, service, and friendship. It is a time to learn about each sorority as they present their values, events, membership requirements, and everything else they have to offer Chapman students.
As you visit each chapter, you will meet the sorority members and discover how each individual member contributes to the larger sorority and how the sorority contributes to campus life and community. Formal recruitment consists of four rounds of events where potential new members and sorority women participate in a mutual selection process for potential membership in one of Chapman University’s nine great National Panhellenic Conference sororities.
Am I eligible to participate in formal recruitment?
You must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Chapman University for the Spring 2025 term. All current students must have successfully earned a minimum of 12 credits by January 16, 2025. Students transferring to Chapman for the Spring 2025 semester must have earned 12 transferable credits of college-level coursework from another college or university by January 16, 2025.
The Chapman sorority average GPA is 3.512. Women who have below a 2.5 are ineligible to participate in recruitment.
To help students understand how their GPA may affect their primary recruitment experience, the Panhellenic Council created Grade Zones to show how academics may factor in on primary recruitment.
GPA Zones
Green Zone: Your options are not likely limited based on your GPA. (3.0+)
Yellow Zone: Your options are more likely to be limited by your GPA (2.5-2.99)
Red Zone: You are ineligible to participate in recruitment based on your GPA (Below 2.5)
