Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) Conference
The AFLV Conference is an annual leadership conference that the FSL Office takes undergraduate Greek student leaders to. This also allows students to network with other Greek chapter members from around the region. These sessions center around topics such as:
- Programming
- Member Development
- Recruitment
- Leadership Skills
- Academic Success
- Member Retention
New Member Education Programs
New Member Education is a program that is put on by the FSL office after each formal recruitment process. This event is a mandatory education session for students who accept a bid from a fraternity or sorority. We cover important topics such as:
- Community Expectations
- Academic Success
- Alcohol Use
- Sexual Misconduct/Title IX
- Diversity and Inclusion
- What to expect while pledging

- Finances
- Marketing
- Recruitment
- Philanthropy/Service
- Event Planning
- Academics
Presidents Retreat
Presidents Retreat is an event that the FSL office holds before the start of each Spring semester. We hold this retreat to help the incoming chapter presidents adjust to their new roles. Some of the topics that we cover are:
- Experiences that Brought You to Being A President
- Personal Core Values
- Leadership Skills they Have and Ones They Want to Improve
- Risk Management
- Chapter Management
The FSL office continues to meet with the presidents weekly. These meetings build chapter relations, leadership skills, and personal development.
Philanthropy Events
Each chapter at Chapman University holds their own individual philanthropy events. These range from sports competitions to performances that the entire community can get involved in. All proceeds made from these events go back to the chapter's choice of philanthropy. In spring 2019, our chapters, collectively, raised over $206,000.
Skit
Skit is an event that happens yearly in April. This is a lip-sync, dance competition that chapters create. Chapters choose their themes, create their story, choreograph their dances, and perform for judges and the public. This is a fun and friendly competition to boost morale before the end of the school year.
Greek Week
October 9, 2023- October 13, 2023
Greek Week is a week put on by Panhellenic and IFC. Chapters are paired together to compete in fun events throughout the week. This friendly competition occurs in the spring every year. The goal of Greek Week is to encourage participation from new members, connect chapters together, and support the community.
