ยป Visitor Parking

Regulations:
All parking areas are restricted 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. You must purchase a short-term parking permit from a dispenser if you have not received a parking pass in advance from an on-campus department.

At the parking permit machines, you have the option to Pay-by-License Plate or Pay-and-Display.  If paying by license plate, there is no reason to return to your vehicle - the enforcement staff will validate parking privileges by scanning the license plate.  If opting for Pay-and-Display, the permit must be displayed on the drivers side dash, in clear view to the enforcement staff.  If you received a visitor permit in advance of your visit to the campus, it must be displayed on the dash of the vehicle or the vehicle is subject to citation.

Short-Term Parking Permit Costs:
$2 for 2 hours   |   $3 for 4 hours   |   $5 for 12 hours

Event Parking Information:
Complimentary parking is available for all ticketed events on campus, subject to availability.  You may register for complimentary parking by following the parking link on the individual event page.  The event-specific parking validation code can also be found in your confirmation and reminder emails.  Your license plate will be scanned to validate parking privileges; no additional permit purchase required.  Please be sure to only park in areas designated for visitor parking to avoid being cited.

City Street Restrictions:
The streets adjacent to the campus are reserved for Orange City Resident permit parking only.  Chapman University parking permits do not allow street parking privileges. The city permitted blocks are marked with red and white signs stating a valid permit (area A) is required. It is likely that you will be ticketed by the City of Orange if you park in one of these areas. Curb-side parking is only allowed if the curb borders a university-owned building and it is not street-sweeping day.
