Termination Notice for Undocumented Objects
The Escalette Permanent Art Collection conducts regular inventories of its collection. During these inventories, the Collection found numerous found in collection (FIC) objects, meaning objects with no accession numbers or identification of their immediate owners. The lack of ownership prevents these objects from being used to serve the Collection's mission. The Collection wishes to return these objects to the rightful owner or gain proper title to these objects in order to better use them or dispose of them. Freeing up storage space will allow the Collection to focus its limited resources on better caring for its legally owned collection.
In accordance with California Civic Code section 1899.9, the Escalette Collection has posted notice in a local newspaper and online. Please see the following list of objects for descriptions and images. Anyone who wishes to claim the property may submit their claim to Jessica Bocinski, Collections Manager at bocinski@chapman.edu.
