»Sociology Concentration Descriptions 2012/2013

The department of sociology is continuing Chapman's commitment to personalized education through four new concentrations to fit our major's needs and interests. Students may choose an area of concentration and earn a departmental certificate that will be awarded at the end of the academic year. Students can earn a certificate/s upon successful completion of four courses with a grade of C or better from each concentration. Students can choose more than one concentration and complete the requirements during their academic career at Chapman. Courses taken for a specific concentration cannot be applied to other concentrations with the sociology major. In order to receive the certificate of completion, students must fill out a certificate application form for each concentration upon completion of the requirements. The certificate will be awarded at the Sociology Annual Award Ceremony at the end of the school year, date to be announced.
